Have you ever gotten off track or felt derailed? Ever wandered from your original goal or intention? Ever felt frustrated by the time you seemed to waste on unclear priorities, or by how life’s circumstances can yank you off track or lull you into a completely different direction than you planned? Have you wasted even more time beating yourself up for this most common of human transgressions?

The poem Delight is an invitation to remeber that you can always invite your inner child out to play and reconnect with your Joy whenever you like.

A spiritual awakening doesn’t always feel peaceful or clear. More often, it feels like a roller coaster ride. It can be exhilarating and may also include what’s known as a “Dark Night of the Soul.”

Our Spirit’s Song runs like a theme throughout our lives, persisting even when it goes unnoticed for years. Have you felt frustrated and confused because you don’t know what your Song is? Sometimes it’s like water to a fish. We listen and listen but cannot hear it.

Delight is the effect of remembering our pure innocence. It conjures childlike joy, giddiness, and laughter with no expectations. It brings us back into the moment, connecting us to THE LIGHT (DE-LIGHT) that we really are.

My question for you is: What is your bluebird's song? How do you access your greatest potential? Do you have a vision of your authentic self? What is a name, a metaphor, or a powerful symbol to help you access that part of you?

A simple poem of stillness inspired by an early morning meditation on my patio as the morning sun was rising.

This poem reflects how we are born with our Joy, or True Nature, intact. Through living in the material world, where our ego self is necessary for survival, we lose track of our true self and let fear guide us.
